On Deck

  • Cockpit

    • Dream Machine has a large cockpit that will easily seat however many you have on board.

    • Two large cockpit lockers

      • One will be mostly full with safety gear, bucket, etc.  The other locker is mostly empty and will easily swallow up pretty much anything you were able to bring.

    • Cockpit area is covered by a large bimini top to provide plenty of shade

    • There is NO dodger on Dream Machine.  Instead there is a cantilever canvas from the arch forward covering the hatch area

      • You don't need a dodger and it just covers up the wind, view of the sail, and the pretty views of the BVI and USVI sailing grounds

    • The entire cockpit is teak inlayed

      • Nothing beats the beauty of a teak floor!

    • Center console with two table leaves

      • Pull the leaves up you have a large table suitable for 6 adults

      • 12V outlet in console

    • LED Lighting

      • We've been hauling with us our own lighting for charters 'cause we like to read after dark.  This is the first boat we've been on that has lighting sufficient to read by.  Leave your own lights and wiring at home - you will not need them

      • Table lamp

      • Low level courtesy lights to keep the cockpit at a minimal lighting - leave it on when you go ashore to eat and come back to a lit cockpit

    • Underwater lights

      • Great for watching the marine life at night in the anchorage

    • Fridge

  • Cooler

    • Yeti high performance cooler.  Put a bag of ice in it and it still has ice 24 hours later.

      • Big enough to be useful, small enough to tuck in front or back of the center console to stay out of your way

        • See picture at right where the cooler is sitting right in front of the center console display

The pictures..... some were taken of Dream Machine while at the commissioning boat yard (most of the canvas and various pieces are still missing).

  • Swim Platform

    • The entire transom folds down to open up a huge (9 x 2.5 ft) swim platform

      • Up/Down switch at port helm

      • Sits about a foot over the water

      • Built in swim ladder

    • Opens the cockpit up into a huge outdoor area

    • Makes easy work of ingress/egress into a dingy

    • Hot & Cold water shower

  • Gas Grill

    • Large cooking area

    • Propane bottles

      • $9.50 per bottle at CYOA

      • A bottle - in my experience - lasts 4 meals

  • Traditional Full Batten Main Sail

    • With lazy-jacks and sail bag

    • 2 reef points

      • This is a simple reefing system with a reef hook at the mast and a reef line brought back to the cockpit

    • All lines brought back to cockpit

    • 538 ft^2

  • Furling Genoa

    • 538 ft^2

    • 104%

  • Bow Thrusters

  • Ground Tackle

    • Dream Machine has all chain rode - about 200ft

    • Windlass with foot operated up/down switches

    • Port helm also has a chain counter and up/down ability

  • Sail Locker

    • A nice sized sail locker is located just behind the anchor chain locker

      • Easily stow all of the fenders and dock lines

      • Stow the suitcases if someone didn't get the memo about soft sided luggage

      • Or threaten kids with confinement (just KIDDING!!!!)
